Outlander Sneak Peek: Claire & Jamie Share a Private Moment about a Turning Point in the War
Each episode of Outlander season 7 brings Jamie and Claire (Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe) closer to the looming and dreaded war. And we know how war goes for these two. Not great. But as usual, the Frasers don’t let a little war get in the way of sharing some private time in their tent. No, not that type of private time, they’re in war! Stay focused, people. In the video clip from this week’s upcoming episode, “Where the Waters Meet,” Claire tells Jamie something very important about Saratoga. See, not so sexy. But then again, these two have a way of making battles and war tents exciting, so anything can happen! Let’s break it down and be sure to watch the sneak peek.
Last episode, Claire and Jamie had to help people escape from Ticonderoga, as an attack seemed imminent, so they rowed away in their quiet little boats and slinked into the night waters. This episode seems more action packed, and hence more stressful, if the preview is any indication. Almost all the characters from Jamie, to Roger, to Ian, seem to be running in a very intense way. One can hope they are just going for a run, but one would be wrong. If you’re running in Outlander, some life-threatening drama is most likely going down.
In this clip, Claire reveals to Jamie that the Battle of Saratoga marks a turning point in the Revolution for America. In fact, the French join in. Ooh la la, or as Jamie would say, “Je suis prest.” But are we ready? Jamie is sharpening some war pokey stick thing in the scene, so he seems more ready than we are. And yes, he is in a tent alone with Claire, and “pokey stick thing” was not a euphemism. We are more Claire who looks worried AF. Claire, we are you. You are us. And we are worried.
