Maya Rudolph & Kristen Wiig’s Unique Advice for Team USA’s Beach Volleyball Stars Has Us Cracking Up

You know the phrase ‘Never meet your heroes?’ Well, future Olympians Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss, didn’t exactly follow that advice recently when they received a special message from their favorite stars, Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig, ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The special video, which was organized by the non-profit Gold Meets Golden, was a total surprise for Kloth and Nuss. “We both love going to the movies,” Nuss said before seeing the video. “Oh, and Bridesmaids, I just rewatched that one,” Kloth added.

Then, Charley Walters from Gold Meets Golden pressed play on a video with none other than Bridesmaids co-stars Wiig and Rudolph. “We are here to wish you and Team USA good luck in Paris,” Wiig said. “We are so excited for you, and we just wanted to take a minute of your time to wish you good great luck, and also to just give you a couple quick tips about being in the Olympics,” Rudolph added.

“Maya and I, I don’t know if you know this, do know a lot about volleyball,” Wiig joked. “When it comes to duos and partnerships hitting balls on the beach, look no further,” the Loot star added.

Among Wiig and Rudolph’s “quick tips” are hitting the ball “really hard” when serving, trying to hit the ball “over the net,” and making noises like “woohoo,” “hey there” or “sophisticated mama” to call out to each other. Expert advice, we know.

At the end, the comedic duo reiterated their wishes of good luck. “Well this Kristen and Taryn wanted to wish you Kristen and Taryn the best of luck [in] Team USA, we’ll be rooting for you,” Wiig said. “And go for the gold,” Rudolph said raising her arms out.

“We love you guys,” Wiig said. “We’re so proud of you,” Rudolph added.

“That was insane,” Nuss said after the video. “Maya and Kristen, one, thank you so so much and two, If you ever need another little teamwork action, we can turn two into four, really quick, right here.”

“I have watched you guys on my TV so many times, and I laugh every single time I am just like still mind blown,” Kloth added.

As the cherry on top of this wholesome video, Tim and Tina, two supporters of the future Olympians who opened their court for them to practise on, were awarded a 98″ TV from Samsung for them to watch Kloth and Nuss play in Paris. “We just couldn’t be represented by two more wonderful, dedicated, exceptional young ladies,” Tina said coming around to the screen.

With supporters like Tim, Tina, Wiig and Rudolph, how could they not win the gold?
