Yes! Native Foods Cafe is growing

Having cooked my way through the Native Foods Cafe cookbook, I am stoked that the vegan restaurant is planning to expand its locations throughout the country this coming year.

Native Foods Cafe plans expansion

According to VegNews.com, the southern California-based vegan restaurant (also voted VegNews’ 2011 Restaurant of the Year) is looking to open 15 new restaurant locations in 2012, with five or so cafes launching within the first quarter of 2012. That means SOON! The Native Foods Cafe website is offering Pre-Opening VIP tix for the first new location in Newport Beach.

Currently, Native Food Cafe is located in California, Chicago, and Oregon, but the expansion means this popular vegan eatery, founded in 1994 by Tanya Petrovna, could be coming to a city near you. The addition of 15 new openings will give the veg chain 27 locations in all.

Native Foods Cafe specializes in vegan meals from appetizers and entree salads to kids dishes and desserts. Chef Tanya cooks up a variety of vegan yums that are nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free to meet your dietary needs. The cafe also serves beer and wine.

Stay tuned for more vegan news!
