Holiday Package Pop Squats

Don’t let the holiday season be an excuse to ditch your workouts in hopes of starting anew in the new year! Angeles suggests putting your Christmas packages as a great way to tone your lower body and raise your heart rate. Her pop squats can be done anywhere. And if you have kids, we guarantee that they will want to join you in the holiday fitness fun.

Start position: Stand tall with your feet directly underneath you, legs slightly bent. Holding a gift or stack of gifts in your arms. Tighten your abs to support your core.

Movement: Jump up and land in a squat position, dropping your glutes low and keeping knees in line with your hips. Try not to let your knees buckle inward. Return to starting position.

Perform: Repeat for 10 to 20 reps.
