Treat stains

The best advice on removing stains is to get to them as soon as possible. We know that immediately throwing clothing, blankets, or other fabric-covered items in the washer isn’t always an option, so have a stain removing tool handy. This will help keep the stain from setting.

When you’re ready to wash, soak the fabric in an enzyme presoak product. Then follow your detergent’s directions and put the stained item in the hottest water safe for the fabric.

Before you throw it in the dryer, check to see if the stain is gone. If not, retreat and rewash. Drying fabric that is stained will set the stain and make it harder if not impossible to remove.

Of course, the easiest way to tackle stains is to take preventative measures to avoid them.Have your kids eat fruit and drink juice only in the kitchen and teach them out to eat and drink over the table. In addition, keep fruit and juice in the kitchen so furniture, carpet, and linens don’t get accidentally stained.
