Whether you regularly run with your pup or know you both should be hitting the trails more regularly, the 5K9 Walk Run in Tempe is a great way to get some exercise and support a good cause.
The 5K9 Walk Run is a national 1-mile and 5K run series for pet parents and dogs formed by Multisports.com, a team of dog lovers who are world class coaches and Ironman triathlon champions. The race in Tempe is the second of 10 races scheduled in 2013. This series of paw-promoting events help raise funds for the Petco Foundation, which assists with local animal wefare groups.
Tempe 5K9 Walk Run
The event in Tempe is Sunday, February 24. Registration starts at 6am at the Tempe Beach Park. Proceeds will benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA. Make sure you check out the free healthy living expo for humans and pets.
