If you’re looking for something to do as a family to celebrate spring — and the new research that the Mediterranean diet is good for your heart — then consider the Nudo Adopt An Olive Tree program.
Choose your tree and support a farmer
Nudo, a family-run co-op of 15 small olive producers in Le Marche, Italy, is now offering a new quarterly program called Adopt An Olive Tree “For Myself” ($49), an addition to the already established Adopt An Olive Tree “As a Gift” program ($69).
The new program gives foodie families the opportunity to choose a tree from a gallery of Nudo groves, learn about the grove’s local farmer, and pick an olive oil variety based on tasting notes from Nudo.
Families will receive a quarterly delivery of three 16.9-ounce tins of olive oil for each season of the year.
Now home cooks and food lovers can sign up for the unique chance to own a little piece of the Italian countryside, andreceive a year-round delivery of handmade, artisanal olive oil straight from the Italian groves to their front door.
Spring: first cold press extra virgin olive oil, from your very own tree.
Summer: a rare and coveted monovarietal olive oil made from Piantone di Mogliano olives.
Fall: a delicate extra virgin olive oil from the finest Nudo groves.
Winter: freshly pressed and unfiltered olio nuovo, specially blended and stone ground.
Extras to consider
Along with delicious Nudo olive oils, you can add on seasonal Italian pantry items like antipasti, fresh pasta, and limited-edition holiday cakes, with a special members-only discount (20% off the entire Nudo-Italia product list).
