Delicious shredded chicken is combined with hot sauce and blue cheese. All thrown onto a slider bun and devoured in seconds. The best part is the meat is made in the slow cooker so there is no after-work dinner rush.
There is no need to get home from work and wonder what to make for dinner. Since the meat is prepared in the slow cooker, you come home to dinner almost prepared. Just shred up the meat and toss in homemade Buffalo sauce. This is one delicious homemade dish.
Slow cooker Buffalo chicken sliders recipe
Sauce slightly adapted from Baked Bree
Yields 8 sliders
Ingredients:
- 4 large boneless/skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups chicken stock
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup Franks Red Hot sauce
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 slider buns
- Blue cheese or ranch dressing
Directions:
- In a slow cooker, add raw chicken breast, chicken stock, salt and pepper. Cook on low for 8 hours.
- When the chicken is done cooking take out of the slow cooker and shred. Let sit while you prepare the sauce.
- In a large pot or high-sided skillet, melt butter and add in hot sauce, honey, vinegar, salt and pepper. Whisk to combine and once warm add in shredded chicken.
- Toss to coat.
- Divide meat equally onto each slider bun. Drizzle each sandwich with blue cheese or ranch dressing.
