No-bake Indian corn treats

The best part about this kid-friendly autumn dessert, that looks like mini corn on the cobs, is that they are no-bake and ready in minutes!

How to make cookies that look like Indian corn

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups cereal (Kix, Cocoa Puffs and Reese’s Puffs work great)
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • Green Fruit Roll-Ups

Directions:

1

Prepare the treats

Tear off 12 (10 x10 inch) square pieces of plastic wrap and spread them out on your counter top. Combine corn syrup and brown sugar in a large pot. Stir and heat on the stove until boiling. Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Stir well. Add cereals. Mix with a spatula until coated. Drop by large spoonfuls onto the pieces of plastic wrap.

Tip

For additional colorful corn kernels, you could also mix in raisins, dried fruits, mini marshmallows or Reese’s Pieces.

2

Shape treats into ears of corn

Cover the mixture balls with the plastic wrap and use your hands to form into the shape of a corncob. Leave the plastic wrap on the corn-shaped treats, allow them to cool, then unwrap.

3

Add the leaves

Cut leaf shapes from green Fruit Roll-Ups and attach them to the bottom and sides of each corn cookie.
