3 Halloween cookie pops

Want a cute and themed Halloween dessert but can’t stand the thought of making a cake pop? Forget the cake and make one of these fun and cute Halloween cookie pops instead!

Cute little ghosts, fun pumpkins and sparkly and sprinkled sugar cookie pops will instantly update any holiday party you’re going to. They’re not only fun for kids but fun for adults, too!

Spooky sprinkled balls

Serves about 16

Ingredients:

  • 16 pieces of sugar cookie dough (we used store-bought)
  • Water
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • 16 lollipop sticks

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a nonstick cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Take the dough pieces and roll in water for a second. Then, roll the dough into your hands to make a ball. Repeat until you’ve formed 16 balls.
  3. Dip each ball into bowls of Halloween sprinkles. Place on the greased baking sheet and carefully stick a lollipop stick into the center about 2/3 of the way.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until fully cooked.

Ghost pops

Serves about 24

Ingredients:

  • 1 batch low-fat sugar cookie dough (use this recipe)
  • 1 container white cookie frosting (we used this kind)
  • 24 milk chocolate chips
  • 48 mini chocolate chips
  • 24 lollipop sticks

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a nonstick baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Roll the dough out to about 1/4-inch thickness. Using a ghost cookie cutter, stamp out ghost shapes. Place on the cookie sheet and stick a lollipop stick 2/3 of the way up the center of the ghost.
  3. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden. Let cool completely. Once cooled, frost with the white frosting. Add two mini chocolate chips for eyes and one chocolate chip for the mouth.

Adorable pumpkin pops

Serves about 24

Ingredients:

  • 1 batch low-fat sugar cookie dough (we used this recipe)
  • 1 container orange frosting (we used this kind)
  • Black icing gel
  • Green icing for stem
  • 24 lollipop sticks

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Roll out the sugar cookie dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Stamp out pumpkin shapes and place on the cookie sheet. Stick a lollipop stick 2/3 of the way into the center of the pumpkins.
  3. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden. Let cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, frost the circular part of the pumpkin orange. Then frost the stem with green frosting. Paint a jack-o’-lantern face onto the pumpkin.
