Chocolate-covered Valentine’s Day

We’re taking chocolate-dipped desserts to a whole new level! You’re going to love these treats.

Valentine’s Day is all about chocolate-covered everything, and I took it to a whole new level! There are no boring chocolate-covered treats in this post. I dipped everything from fluffy marshmallows to spicy jalapeño peppers. Don’t worry, the jalapeños are delicious. They are the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Double chocolate-dipped jalapeño peppers recipe

Yields 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 medium fresh jalapeño peppers

Directions:

  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate morsels. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, stopping to stir the chocolate every 15 seconds. Microwave just until melted.
  2. Add in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to the chocolate and stir. You want the texture of the melted chocolate to super smooth so the chocolate does not clump while dipping. Add more vegetable oil until you reach your desired texture.
  3. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat liner.
  4. Dip jalapeño peppers into the chocolate and place on the prepared baking sheet. Let the chocolate on the peppers harden slightly and dip again.
