Puff pastry, bacon and cheddar cheese become one fantastic twisted starter that’s served with spicy beer cheese dip.
Attention all bacon lovers! Listen up if you are a big-time fan of bacon or cheddar or both. This is one recipe you won’t want to pass up. I used maple-flavored bacon and wrapped it around slices of puff pastry stuffed with cheddar cheese! As if that wasn’t amazing enough, I decided to dunk these babies in a spicy cheesy beer dip! These are so easy and taste so good! I love serving these at parties as an appetizer or as a fun replacement for bread at dinner.

Yields 24
Ingredients:
- 1 package frozen puff pastry
- 24 slices maple bacon, uncooked
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top, spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the sheets of puff pastry. Brush the tops of both sheets with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle the puff pastry with the shredded cheese, garlic powder and parsley. Using a rolling pin, gently roll the cheese into the pastry to help it stick. Cut each sheet of pastry into 12 (1/2 inch) strips and fold each strip over to help seal the cheese inside the pastry.
- Take a slice of the bacon and gently begin wrapping it around the pastry strips, slightly twisting as you wrap. Repeat with all remaining slices of bacon and pastry strips. Season with fresh ground pepper and place the twists onto the wire rack.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the bacon is cooked completely, turning halfway through. Serve warm with cheesy beer dip.

- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:

- Begin adding in the shredded cheese in small amounts while whisking the sauce mixture until you have reached the desired consistency.
