You won’t believe how easy these desserts are to make. They are all formed on a lollipop stick and only have three ingredients. Time to get baking.
3-Ingredient peanut butter cookie truffles
No-bake peanut butter cookies coated in rich milk chocolate? And did I mention they are only three ingredients? Yep, you are going to want to make these cookies over and over again. The peanut butter cookie balls have two ingredients that are mixed and kneaded together. Once the dough is formed, they are shaped into cookie balls and dipped in milk chocolate.
Serves 8-9
Ingredients:
- 1 package (7.2 ounces) snack size peanut butter cookie mix
- 2-3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Directions:
- Combine the peanut butter cookie mix with the melted butter.
- Stir and knead until a thick dough has formed.
- If the mixture is crumbly, you can add a little bit more butter.
- Form balls with the mixture by squeezing together dough and then rolling it in between your hands.
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Remove from the microwave, stir and return to the microwave for an additional 15-20 seconds or until melted. If the chocolate mixture is too thick, you can add a teaspoon of shortening or vegetable oil.
- Press a lollipop stick into the chocolate and then into the center of the truffle.
- Allow to cool and then dip the peanut butter cookie into the chocolate until coated. Tap off excess chocolate and then set in a cake pop holder to cool and allow the chocolate to harden.
3-Ingredient cake batter truffles
These simple truffles taste like a birthday cake with a fraction of the work required. There are only three ingredients — and one of those ingredients is sprinkles. That’s right; these truffles are chock-full of colorful sprinkles.
Serves 18
Ingredients:
- 3 cups yellow cake mix, dry
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1/3 cup sprinkles
Directions:
- Combine the yellow cake mix with the melted butter.
- Stir and knead until a thick dough has formed.
- Stir in the sprinkles.
- If the mixture is crumbly, you can add a little bit more butter.
- Form balls with the mixture by squeezing together dough and then rolling it in between your hands.
- Press a lollipop stick into the center of the truffle.
- Note: If desired, you can dip the lollipop stick in white chocolate first (before putting it in the cake ball) to make it more sturdy. This will help if you are transporting these truffles.
3-Ingredient brownie truffles
These truffles begin with a prepared brownie mix and get dressed up in white chocolate with colorful sprinkles. This is a creative way to present an ordinary dessert. The white chocolate adds a different color, but you can definitely substitute milk or dark chocolate if that is more appealing to you.
Serves 18-20
Ingredients:
- 1 batch prepared brownies (9 x 13-inch pan size)
- 1 (12 ounce) bag white chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup nonpareils sprinkles (optional)
Directions:
- Crumble the prepared brownies into a large bowl.
- Knead the brownies with your hands until a dough is formed.
- Pinch off large pieces of “dough” to form large brownie balls. Roll the brownie balls between your hands to create a smooth texture.
- Melt your white chocolate in batches (because white chocolate hardens quickly). Melt about 1/4 cup at at time mixed with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil.
- First dip the lollipop stick in the chocolate and then insert the lollipop stick in the brownie ball.
- Allow to completely dry.
- Dip the dried lollipop brownie truffle into the white chocolate. Shake off excess chocolate.
- If desired, shake nonpareils sprinkles over the truffles.
- Allow to completely dry.
