20 Ways to cook (not bake!) with apples this fall

One of our favorite fall activities is to go apple picking. Heading to a local orchard and spending the day drinking hot cider and eating warm doughnuts make our hearts sing. Slices of apple pies are everywhere — until you get home. Instead of baking with the 12 pounds of apples you just picked, how about making a savory recipe?
