The alien brain hemorrhage is your creepiest Halloween cocktail

You can only watch in horror as the alien brain comes to life in your glass. Then it hits you: Once the grim transformation is complete, you have to drink it! (Don’t worry, it tastes better than it looks.)

This ghoulish concoction will wow the guests at your next Halloween bash. But you can tell them to rest assured — it looks like a gruesome inside look at an alien brain gone wrong, but it’s just a tasty Halloween-themed shot.

Prepare to be disturbed:

Alien brain hemorrhage recipe

Layered shots can be a bit tricky, so make sure you do some trial runs before the night of your party. Also, while you can use any Irish cream you like, I’ve had the best luck with prechilled Baileys.

Serves 1

Total time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 ounce peach liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce Irish cream
  • 1/4 ounce blue curaçao
  • Splash grenadine

Directions:

  1. Pour the peach liqueur into a shot glass.
  2. Gently pour the Irish cream into the shot glass to create a floating layer on top. If necessary, drizzle the Irish cream over the bottom of a spoon or knife to help control the pour.
  3. From several inches above the shot glass, pour in the blue curaçao, followed by the grenadine syrup.
