Get spooky with this amazing glow-in-the-dark cocktail

Now, this cocktail isn’t necessarily just for Halloween, but the amazing glow-in-the-dark effect makes it perfect for a spooky party on All Hallows’ Eve.The best thing is you need only three ingredients to make it. Can I get a “heck yes!”?

I mean, three ingredients… Why wouldn’t you make this? Plus, it glows in the dark. Seriously, why aren’t you making it right now? I’m sure you have a black light in your closet from those “glow-in-the-dark” toga parties from college. What makes this normally ordinary drink glow when it’s faced with a black light is the main ingredient of tonic water, or quinine. When placed in the dark next to a black light, it glows blue!

Glow-in-the-dark cocktail recipe

Serves 2

Total time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces vodka
  • 5 ounces tonic water
  • Your favorite water flavoring (I used Cranberry Raspberry MiO water flavoring), to taste
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Fill 2 tumbler glasses halfway with ice cubes. Add in the vodka and tonic water. Add a few drops of water flavoring to each glass.
  2. To make the drink glow, turn off all the lights (it’s best to do this at night), and shine the drinks with a blacklight. The tonic water will cause the entire drink to glow.
