Now, this cocktail isn’t necessarily just for Halloween, but the amazing glow-in-the-dark effect makes it perfect for a spooky party on All Hallows’ Eve.The best thing is you need only three ingredients to make it. Can I get a “heck yes!”?
I mean, three ingredients… Why wouldn’t you make this? Plus, it glows in the dark. Seriously, why aren’t you making it right now? I’m sure you have a black light in your closet from those “glow-in-the-dark” toga parties from college. What makes this normally ordinary drink glow when it’s faced with a black light is the main ingredient of tonic water, or quinine. When placed in the dark next to a black light, it glows blue!
Glow-in-the-dark cocktail recipe
Serves 2
Total time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces vodka
- 5 ounces tonic water
- Your favorite water flavoring (I used Cranberry Raspberry MiO water flavoring), to taste
- Ice cubes
Directions:
- Fill 2 tumbler glasses halfway with ice cubes. Add in the vodka and tonic water. Add a few drops of water flavoring to each glass.
- To make the drink glow, turn off all the lights (it’s best to do this at night), and shine the drinks with a blacklight. The tonic water will cause the entire drink to glow.
