These seven words will usher in a new era of comfort food: crescent doughnut grilled cheese… and doughnut holes.
I can now say I have seen the origin of true beauty. It’s golden, crispy, flaky and dripping with luscious melted cheese. It’s part crescent roll, part grilled cheese, and all delicious. The best part? The crescent doughnut grilled cheese, invented by Oh, Bite It!, only takes two ingredients and can be easily made at home. Take that, Dominique Ansel!

Making these is so simple, it’s almost too good to be true. All you need to do is buy crescent roll dough (the kind that comes in the canister, like Pillsbury) and processed cheese (like Velveeta or American cheese). Roll out two sheets of the dough, sandwiching slices of cheese in between, then fold in half and cut out doughnuts. Save the doughnut holes, people – some may say they’re the best part!
All you have left to do is deep fry until golden and crispy on the outside. Cut into these beauties and you can see every flaky layer just oozing with silky melted cheese. Talk about a way to jazz up your boring tomato soup! A few crescent grilled cheese doughnut holes floating on top and you’re transported to a realm of flavor you didn’t even know existed.
