If you love baked goods but hate baking, there’s a new piece of technology here to answer your sweet tooth’s prayers.
The new XYZprinting 3-D food printer, recently shown at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, can be filled with chocolate or dough and then programmed with the touch of a button to create cookies, cake decorations or even a fancy Nutella design to make your morning toast that much more special.

Imagine the possibilities! No more fiddling with fussy cookie cutters, no more air bubbles ruining your elaborate piping on cakes… Now this is what it means to be living in the future!
Seriously, though. When I was a kid, I could not have cared less about the flying cars and house cleaner robots that were supposedly going to be around when I would be a grown-up. But if you told me it would be possible to have a machine in my own home churning out desserts like it ain’t no thang whenever I wanted? Now that is one piece of futuristic technology I can get behind.

As of now, it’s estimated that the XYZprinting 3-D food printer will cost between $500 and $1,900, according to RT.com, which, at the low end, is around the same price as a Vitamix. What do you think? Would you ever splurge on a 3-D food printer?
