It’s not every day that you get the chance to cook alongside celebrity chefs like Katie Lee, Curtis Stone, Robert Irvine, Carla Hall, Lorena Garcia and so many others! But that’s exactly the chance you’ll get this weekend thanks to popular lifestyle retailer channel HSN.
This Sunday, March 15, HSN is celebrating the “Ultimate Cooking Lesson”, a 24-hour HSN Cooks event hosted by Katie Lee. The Kitchen host will be walking viewers through the entire experience from 2-6 p.m. and featuring lessons from much-loved celebrity chefs, like award-winning Curtis Stone, Restaurant: Impossible host Robert Irvine, Latina restaurateur Lorena Garcia, The Chew host and Top Chef personality Carla Hall and others.
Personally, I am most looking forward to learning how to make Chef Stone’s exclusive recipe for seared pepper steak with caramelized Brussels sprouts. But really, with such an all-star lineup, how can you lose out? I’m sure Chef Lee’s new Endless Summer Cookbook will feature just as many mouthwatering recipes. And who doesn’t love Chef Hall’s outgoing personality, Chef Irvine’s straightforward recipes and Chef Garcia’s healthy Latin eats? I know I do!
When I first learned how to cook years ago, it took celebrity chef personalities like these to get me into the kitchen. Watching them on TV, whether it was competing against others in their field or helping to rebuild failing restaurants, I was thrilled watching them go. The things they could do in the kitchen were amazing. But the inspiring words they gave to viewers were even more amazing.
At the end of the day, that’s why I will be tuning in and following along on the #HSNCooks hashtag. It’s not because I personally need more kitchen gadgets (please don’t tempt me…), but because I want to hear what these chefs have to say. I want to hear their stories, and I want them to remind me why I fell in love with cooking in the first place.

Whether you’re an experienced cook (like me) or a novice in the kitchen, can’t we all use a little kick in the you-know-what every once in a while? As spring approaches and fresh produce hits the farmers market (and store shelves), I want a push to cook more. And I am pretty sure this will do the trick.
