McDonald’s is finally testing all-day breakfast options (UPDATE)

Breakfast lovers, rejoice! If you’ve been dreaming about having your Egg McMuffins at 8 a.m. and then again for your midafternoon snack, your dreams may soon become a reality.

Reports are beginning to surface that McDonald’s is planning to test an all-day breakfast menu in the next few months, according to CNBC. In a note released earlier today, Janney Capital Markets revealed that its “industry sources inform us that McDonald’s US plans to test all-day breakfast — breakfast items for sale throughout the 24-hour day — in one domestic market, with the test set to begin within the next month or two.”

And if you’re someone who has yet to jump on the breakfast-for-dinner trend, well, what are you waiting for? McD’s might soon be your best best for hotcakes with a side of Chicken McNuggets and Filet-O-Fish.

UPDATE: McDonald’s fans in Southern California are in for a 24-hour breakfast treat. Business Insider reports that the tests will begin next month at several locations in San Diego.
