We’re dying over the news that Terrapin Beer Company is making The Walking Dead Blood Orange IPA.
Terrapin is a craft brewery located in Georgia, where The Walking Dead television show is filmed, so it totally makes sense that the two would team up to create this spooky brew. Though the brewery has not yet announced the beer, Beer Street Journal reports it will be available this fall.

It’s not the first time the series has shown an interest in craft beer — a Season 4 scene featured cameos from local favorites SweetWater Brewing, Jailhouse Brewing and, of course Terrapin.
And Terrapin in particular is no stranger to the dark side of beer. One of its extra-hoppy offerings is called Hopsecutioner, and past releases have included Hopzilla and Big Hoppy Monster. I’m almost surprised they don’t already have a zombie-inspired brew in their arsenal.

With a bloodred color (thanks to those vibrant oranges), super-hoppy flavor and 6.7 percent ABV, it sounds like this is a beer that could actually wake the dead (or, after one too many, send you to an early grave!). Perhaps there is a cure for zombie-ism after all — if Rick and the gang can get the walkers to calmly sit down for a glass of IPA, that is.
