3 Delicious ways to enjoy gooey s’mores on National S’mores Day

National S’mores Day is today, Aug. 10! And if you love s’mores but don’t have a campfire handy, you’re in for a treat. I’ve rounded up some delicious ways to enjoy the summer favorite without a crackling campfire

1. Grilled s’mores

All you have to do is put the s’mores ingredients (graham cracker, marshmallow and chocolate) in the little basket of the S’more to Love S’mores Maker, bake in the oven or on your grill and in minutes you have perfect s’mores. (Amazon, $9)

2. S’mores pops

These will no doubt be “pop-ular” with the whole family. Great to make with kids, especially on rainy days.

Ingredients:

  • Mini slow cooker
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Parchment paper
  • Marshmallows
  • Milk chocolate
  • Crushed graham cracker (you can buy already crushed crackers in the baking aisle)

Directions:

  1. Melt the chocolate in the mini slow cooker.
  2. Place a marshmallow on a stick.
  3. Dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate.
  4. Tap off the excess chocolate.
  5. Roll the coated marshmallow in the crushed graham cracker.
  6. Place on the parchment paper to cool.

Enjoy!

3. S’mores nachos

This will take only minutes to make and it will take every ounce of self control not to finish in one sitting.

Ingredients:

  • Pie pan
  • Graham crackers, broken into 4
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Hershey’s Milk Chocolate

Directions:

  1. Place the graham crackers on the bottom of a pie pan until the whole thing is covered.
  2. Add the milk chocolate, just eyeballing it, depending on how chocolatey you want it.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows.
  4. Bake for a few minutes under the broiler until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are toasty. (Hint: Keep an eye out, the marshmallows burn quickly, so don’t go too far.)
  5. Take out of the oven and enjoy. (Tip: Let it cool, you will burn the top of your mouth if not.)
