File boozy watermelon-lemonade slushies under good reasons to be an adult

You guys, I have found the drink of the summer. This watermelon-lemonade boozy slushie is perfect for parties or for a fun day by the pool. I got a little fancy and served it in a hollowed-out watermelon, but don’t worry, you can still make the drink even if you don’t want to serve it up fancy.

It should be noted that the recipe ingredients are just estimates with this cocktail. It’s hard to know how watery your watermelon might be, so adjust to taste and preference. I personally like my slushie nice and thick, so I always throw in a little more ice and sometimes a little more vodka.

What’s a party without a little more vodka?

Boozy watermelon-lemonade slushie recipe

Get your booze on with these super-simple, boozy watermelon-lemonade slushies. Note: To hollow out a small watermelon, simply slice a little off the bottom so it can sit without rolling, and then cut off the top to reveal the pink fruit. Scoop out the flesh with a large spoon.

Serves 6

Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cubed watermelon
  • 2 cups store-bought lemonade
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves

Directions:

  1. To a blender, add all the ingredients, and blend until slushy in texture. If it’s too thick, then simply thin it out with more lemonade, and if it’s not thick enough, then add more ice until desired consistency.
