More than 285 people have fallen ill after eating cucumbers tainted with salmonella, including 53 hospitalized and one dead.
The cucumbers, grown in Mexico and sold by Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce, were distributed to stores and restaurants across the country and have been linked to a salmonella outbreak in 27 states. The company is voluntarily recalling all the cucumbers sold under the Limited Edition brand between Aug. 1 and Sept. 3, 2015.

Stores and restaurants that purchased the recalled cucumbers include Walmart, Whole Foods, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Kroger, In-N-Out, Costco and more. You can see a full list here.
In stores, the cucumbers were merchandised unwrapped as bulk produce. At restaurants, they were most likely served in salads.
Salmonella can be fatal in children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include nausea, fever, vomiting and diarrhea. If you think you may have consumed the recalled product and are exhibiting any of these symptoms, you should see your doctor immediately.
