That moment we’ve all been dreaming of is finally here.
We reported on the rumors earlier this year, and now something magical (in the fast-food world, at least) is happening. Taco Bell is opening its first Cantina restaurant in Wicker Park, Chicago, and it’s selling booze. The restaurant’s grand opening is Sept. 22, but a soft opening was held Tuesday.

Taco Bell is obviously a great place to go after a night of drinking, but why not kill two birds with one stone and skip the bar altogether? At the new Taco Bell Cantina restaurants, 10 of which are expected to open in the next year, you have everything you need for an amazing night. The restaurants will sell the usual food menu but will also offer beer, wine and a selection of frozen drinks.

There’s a Cantina Punch freeze, a Cantina Margarita freeze and the Mountain Dew Baja Blast. The drinks can be ordered without alcohol, or customers can opt for Captain Morgan white rum, Ketel One vodka or Don Julio tequila. For beer, it’s offering up Dos Equis and something from New Belgium Brewing, and it’ll also be serving a cabernet sauvignon and a pinot grigio.

Most of the Taco Bell Cantina spots will be located in urban areas, in smaller spaces than the sprawling drive-thrus many of us are used to. At the Chicago restaurant, it’s operating in a building that’s nearly a century old, featuring a mural from a local graffiti artist, and is set up with an open kitchen. Finally, you can see how your Taco Bell chef expertly layers the crunchy and soft tortillas of a Gordita, while sipping a frozen marg. Does life get any better?
The second Taco Bell Cantina is slated to open in San Francisco later this month, though that location will only sell beer and wine, not the new frozen drinks. The company has applied for liquor licenses at hundreds of locations this year, and with 10 more locations coming next year, Taco Bell fans can only hope that the next Cantina launch is near.
