At SheKnows Food, we spend a lot of time reading about — you guessed it — food (and drinks too!). And we’ve come across some stories that are too good to not share. Here are the food items from the week that you don’t want to miss.
1. The future is now, and Pepsi is really expensive
We’re officially in the future as of Oct. 21, 2015; at least that’s what Back to the Future II tells us. And if you want to drink the Pepsi like Marty McFly did, you’re in luck — you can get a bottle of Pepsi Perfect for $20.15. A bit steep for a bottle of soda, but you also get a special case with it, if that makes you feel any better. Pepsi is selling only 6,500 online, so use that futuristic Internet thing, and snatch one up. — Wired

2. If an Oreo and a Hostess cupcake had a baby
Filled cupcake is the latest Oreo flavor rumor floating around. We recently learned that Cinnamon Bun Oreos are on the horizon, but there’s no confirmation yet on this cookie-cupcake mashup. The Instagrammer who posted the image of the alleged new flavor claimed it would be coming in January 2016, but the photo has since been deleted. We reached out to Oreo for comment and will report back with updates. In the meantime, just stuff an Oreo into a Hostess cupcake, and call it a day. — People
3. A year’s supply of Nutella up for grabs
Want to win a year’s supply of Nutella? Of course you do. And all you have to do is submit a video explaining why you would be the best leader of next year’s World Nutella Day. That’s like being Miss America, but way tastier. — Delish

4. Whole Foods cheese recall
Another day, another food recall. This time it’s cheese, and it’s being recalled due to possible health risks. Papillon Organic Roquefort cheese, sold nationwide by Whole Foods, was found to have listeria monocytogenes in routine sampling, and all sell-by dates are affected. Consumers should return the cheese to the store for a refund or call 512-477-5566, ext. 20060 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST for more information. — FDA

5. You have Paul Prudhomme to thank for the turducken, and much more
Chef Paul Prudhomme has died at the age of 75. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, his imprint on the culinary world certainly should. We have him to thank for the turducken (you know, a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken) and for bringing Creole and Cajun food into popularity. As Eater says, his is a name you should know, so head over to read more about his legacy in length. — Eater
