Rich chocolate chocolate chip cookies stacked with layers of creamy chocolate frosting is a chocolate lover’s dream.
I might have even forgotten to mention that this cookie stack is chocolate on chocolate on chocolate, because not only is the stack made with plenty of chocolate, it’s topped with even more chocolate.
My favorite part of this cookie stack is how good it tastes with a big glass of milk. And it’s also a great dessert to share — unless, of course, you want it all to yourself.
Triple chocolate cookie stack recipe

Ingredients:
For the chocolate chip cookies
- 1-3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup HERSHEY’S Cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 (11.5 ounce) package HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1-1/3 cups HERSHEY’S Cocoa
- 6 cups powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Chocolate chocolate chip cookies
- Chocolate frosting
- 1 (12 ounce) package HERSHEY’S Premier White Chips, melted
- 2 cups chocolate chips, chopped
Directions:
For the chocolate chip cookies
- Heat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- To a medium-size bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, soda and salt. Stir together, and side aside.
- To a large mixing bowl, add the butter, sugar, vanilla, eggs and milk. Mix until creamy.
- Slowly mix in the dry ingredients. Once all the ingredients are incorporated, stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop the cookie dough by tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned but still a little soft in the middle. Transfer the cookies to a rack, and let them cool.
For the HERSHEY’S “PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE” chocolate frosting
- In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter, and slowly whisk in the cocoa powder.
- Stir in the powdered sugar a little at a time.
- Add the milk and vanilla.
- Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Choose 4 cookies that are about the same size. Top the first cookie with a generous portion of frosting.
- Set another cookie on top of the frosting, and top it with more frosting.
- Set a third cookie on top of the frosting, and top it with more frosting.
- Top the layered cookie stack with 1 more cookie for a total of 4 cookies.
- Using a small spoon, drizzle the melted white chocolate chips on the top cookie, and garnish with chopped chocolate chips. Repeat for the remaining cookies.
- Let the chocolate set (about 1 hour), and serve.
