Toronto bar may be the best Harry Potter-inspired creation yet (PHOTOS)

Even if we owned an Elder Wand, we couldn’t have produced the magic that is the Harry Potter-inspired bar The Lockhart.

Over the years, J.K. Rowling’s novels have served as inspiration for countless things, but this bar may be our favourite. The bar is located in downtown Toronto at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Dundas Street, but once you see it, you will think you actually fell through Platform Nine and Three-Quarters and were transported into a magical realm — and no one would blame you for thinking that.

Inside you can find potions and elixirs, even cocktails fit for a Gryffindor member. Among the choices are The Shacklebolt, Befuddlement draft, Ludo’s Debt and The Botanist.

And among the potions, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Alihotsy Draught, a Babbling Beverage and Cupid Crystals.

According to the The Globe and Mail, the bar was founded by Matt Rocks and Paris Xerx.

“We wanted to go with a modern apothecary theme,” Rocks told the publication. “Paris loves mixology, alchemy and potions, all that kind of stuff. We just combined our two loves and came up with this.

“People love it, but other people are like, ‘Oh, we thought you were going to be wearing robe [sic],'” he continued. “We didn’t want it to be too kitschy. It’s a cocktail bar that just happens to have a theme running through it.”
