Fruity Trix bars recipe
Yields 12
Prep time: 10 minutes | Inactive time: 30 minutes | Total time: 40 minutes
Ingredients:
- 8 cups Trix cereal
- 10 ounces miniature marshmallows
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
Directions:
- Spray a medium baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, and set it aside.
- To a large mixing bowl, add the cereal.
- To a microwave-safe bowl, add the marshmallows, butter and lemon extract. Heat on high for 1-1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds or until the marshmallows and butter have melted.
- Pour the marshmallow mixture on top of the cereal, and mix well.
- Transfer the cereal mixture to the baking dish, and firmly press down.
