I love smoothies, but making them isn’t always the easiest thing to throw together when you’re in a hurry. Let me show you my little secret for making smoothies fast. My DIY smoothie jars are not only easy to assemble, but they also save time and take the headache out of smoothie making for good.

Prep your jars with your ingredients, and simply freeze. When ready to enjoy, just dump all the contents into the blender along with a liquid, and blend to make the easiest smoothie ever. All your chopping, measuring and prepping is already done.

Full of antioxidants from red berries, this sweet, peachy drink gets a hint of spice from fresh ginger.

Red berry, peach and ginger smoothie recipe

Serves 2

Total time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 large jars with lids
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 small piece fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup vanilla-coconut yogurt
  • 1 cup chilled brewed green tea for blending (may use fruit juice or water)

Directions:

  1. Divide the fruits and yogurt between the jars.
  2. Add the lids, and place in the freezer until ready to blend.
  3. To make the smoothies, add the frozen ingredients to a blender along with the green tea.
  4. Blend on high for 1 minute or until very thick and smooth, and serve.

Packed with dark berries and leafy green spinach, this smoothie gets an energy boost from pure coconut oil.

Green berry crush smoothie recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 large jars with lids
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 2 handfuls baby spinach
  • 1 tablespoon raw organic coconut oil
  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk

Directions:

  1. Divide the fruits between the jars.
  2. Add the lids, and place in the freezer until ready to blend.
