Like that leftover pizza from the night before that you had been dreaming about all day, only to discover it’s gone when you get home. Or the chocolate you were looking forward to devouring, that has suddenly disappeared — and the empty wrapper taunts you from the bin. It’s highly annoying, but one Chinese student has found a way to punish the thief in her flat, and the results are hilarious.

According to The Mirror, first she cut out two cardboard cutlet shapes.

Then she went to all the effort of trimming down the heavy duty cardboard with a knife.
But here’s the best part… she dips it into soy sauce and then bread crumbs to make it look like it really is a tasty snack (and the perpetrator will get quite the surprise when they sink their teeth into it).

She went to great lengths in order to make it look realistic and even fried it.
And the trap is laid…
No confirmation yet on whether it worked and what the roommate’s reaction was, but we applaud this student for her ingenuity.
