It’s the most wonderful time of the year — if you’re a cow, that is. That’s because this Tuesday, July 12, is Chick-fil-A’s annual Cow Appreciation Day.

If you show up at your local Chick-fil-A dressed as a cow, you can get a free entrée. It may be the worst day of the year for chickens, but cows around the country are putting on their dancing hooves to celebrate.
Best of all, this year Chick-fil-A is making it even more simple to get your free food than in the past. You don’t have to dress in a full cow costume — just a hint of cow print is all you need to take advantage of the deal. That’s a great relief considering how much the rental of my full-body cow costume cost last year — not that it wasn’t still worth it (I mean, not monetarily, but the emotional gains were priceless).

Customers donning cow print can choose their favorite breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée, while kids who are dressed like a cow can claim a free Kid’s Meal.
The offer is valid from opening until 7:00 p.m. on July 12.
It’s not often one wants to look like a cow while they’re enjoying fast food, but Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day makes it so worth it.
