Bananas fritas recipe
You can eat these bananas as they come out of the skillet, or you can dress them up with honey, ice cream, coconut, nuts and more.

Serves: 4 – 8
Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 4 – 6 minutes | Total time: 14 – 16 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
- 4 bananas, peeled
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon until they are completely combined. Set aside.
- Cut each banana lengthwise, and cut each half evenly into 2 pieces.
- In a large, cast-iron skillet or frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to bubble. Add in 4 – 5 banana quarters cut side down, and cook for 2 – 3 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle on the cinnamon-sugar, mix generously, and flip the bananas, cooking for an additional 2 – 3 minutes. Sprinkle the bananas again with a generous amount of cinnamon-sugar, and serve hot.
