Starting Sept. 1, Baskin-Robbins is giving summer the send-off it deserves by unleashing their new Dunkin’ Donuts ice cream sandwiches upon the world. Pick your jaw up off the floor — you read that right. Dunkin’ Donuts made sweet love to Baskin-Robbins and created a food baby.

This means that any hungry soul looking to double down on their ice cream consumption before fall hits (ahem, me) can walk (run?) into Baskin-Robbins, select their favorite ice cream flavor and enjoy it scooped between a powdered Dunkin’ Donuts doughnut in the ultimate expression of summer decadence. You can also get your sandwich topped with hot fudge, sprinkles, or any of your other favorites. And since doughnuts are technically breakfast food, who’s to say this isn’t literally the best-ever way to start your day?

Baskin-Robbins has been seriously upping their game lately. When I was a kid it was just your basic scoop shop, but now they serve up things like Warm Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches, Polar Pizza (dessert pizza topped with ice cream!) and now this glorious brand mashup with its sister chain Dunkin’ Donuts.
Summer may almost be over, but there’s still time to get your fill of ice cream, and for me that probably means trying at least one totally loaded Dunkin’ Donuts ice cream sandwich.
