If the chore of fighting the crowds at a warehouse store is not how you’d like to spend your day off, we get it. None of us actually wants to do that, but when these things need to get done, we have no choice, right?

Well, there’s actually a new option. Costco is rolling out an online delivery option, going by the rather expected name CostcoGrocery.
The CostcoGrocery service will let customers log on and order from 500 nonperishable items, everything from shelf food to household supplies. Even better, shipping is free if you spend $75, which is not remotely difficult to achieve at Costco. Even if you don’t reach $75, though, the shipping is only a $3 fee. Costco says it offers second-day deliveries to every region except Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. Second-day deliveries are not available on weekends.
But that’s not the only exciting Costco news. The warehouse store giant is also partnering with Instacart for same-day deliveries. That option will open the door to items like meat, dairy and produce, all in the bulk shopping sizes we count on at the store. To find out if this is available in your area, just log onto Instacart and add your zip code.

“We feel good that we’ve got a few delivery options for our members that frankly are better than the ones they were doing the day before with us or with Instacart or with anybody else,” Costco CFO Richard Galanti said during a recent call with investors.
