Starbucks Hops on the Millennial Pink Trend With a Tasty New Latte

Millennial pink all the things: It was the trend of 2017, and it’s continuing to seep into 2018. Just last week, KitKat released the pink-hued, berry-flavored KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Ruby; and now Starbucks has stepped in, releasing a Millennial Pink latte called the Pink Medley Tea Latte. And the name is as cute as it looks.

The Pink Medley Tea Latte is made with a Teavana tea blend called Joyful Medley, which is where it gets its pink color. As far as flavor goes, it’s made with black, jasmine and oolong tea with a splash of peach and strawberry flavors. According to Sora News 24, where the staff was lucky enough to try it for themselves, the tea is described as “incredibly fruity,” a “hot fruit juice” and “both creamy and refreshing at the same time.”

But wait! Before you place an order on your Starbucks app or hop into your car to head to the nearest location, there’s something you need to know: It’s only available in Japan through Valentine’s Day.

Although those of us in the States aren’t able to partake in the pink latte, today, Starbucks did announce its Citrus Defender to help you kick your winter blues.

If Starbucks’ “tea with Vitamin C” doesn’t interest you, though, you can always order the Pink Drink that’s been on their menu. You know the one: the Strawberry Acai Refresher, which combines passion fruit and creamy coconut milk. And last year, the coffee franchise also released the baby-pink Sakura Blossom Frappuccino.

So, don’t worry; you can still get your pink drink fix.
