We all love Halo Top, right? After all, they are the ones who made eating delicious ice cream at least a little bit healthier. Well, now there is a new contender in the battle for the best low-cal ice cream.
Ben & Jerry’s is known for being comforting and indulgent, but not always super-healthy. We’re OK with that — but in a world where ice cream is trying to get healthier, they need to compete, and that brings us to their latest launch, Moo-Phoria.
The new line launches today and includes intriguing flavors such as Chocolate Milk & Cookies, Caramel Cookie Fix, and P.B. Dough. All these yummy flavors have fewer calories, sugar and fat than the regular varieties, but are just as delicious.

Caramel Cookie Fix has shortbread cookies and salted caramel swirls, while Chocolate Milk & Cookies has the same cookies as the regular Milk & Cookies flavor mixed into vanilla and chocolate ice cream. P.B. Dough is chocolate ice cream with big chunks of chocolate chip-peanut butter dough.
We’re into it.
Each flavor has about 150 calories per serving (that’s half a cup, or a quarter of a pint, so don’t eat the whole pint like you might with Halo Top and think you are just fine) and around 15 grams of sugar. For those keeping track, that’s about 60 to 70 percent less fat than the regular versions, so that’s no joke.

Be careful, though — while these have much less fat than regular Ben & Jerry’s, they are not a free ride. A pint of Moo-Phoria has around 600 calories, compared to the 200 to 300 calories per pint in Halo Top and Enlightened. However, we imagine what we lose in saved calories we’re totally going to gain in flavor, so we’re up for trying it. Moderation is everything, you guys.
