Your Dream Job of Getting Paid to Eat Nutella Is Now a Reality

Eating Nutella all day in Italy and getting paid to do it. It sounds like a dream, but for Ferrero — which makes Nutella — it’s an actual job, and they’re hiring right now.

Ferrero is looking for 60 “sensory judges” to taste its products. These judges are described as “nonprofessionals” on the job listing, published by Openjobmetis, meaning they want regular consumers. According to The Local, you need zero prior experience to qualify for this position; however, you can’t have any food allergies and you must be familiar with using computers, which…  OK.

The job listing also states that the paid training course starts in September and lasts three months. The 40 best candidates will then get hired for two tasting panels, working two days a week for two hours per day. Now that’s a commitment even Vanderpump Rules‘ Tom Schwartz can get behind.

The listing is in Italian, but don’t worry, we copied and pasted the listing into Google Translate for you. It reads:

“We are looking for Soremartec Italia Srl for people who would like to learn how to taste cocoa, hazelnut grains and other semi-finished sweet products.

“A paid training course (starting in September and lasting 3 months) will aim to educate the sense of smell and taste and improve the ability to express in words what will be perceived with the tasting of semi-finished products.

“At the end of the course, candidates deemed suitable will be hired with a long-term supply contract with a part-time commitment two days a week for 2 hours.
Work site: Alba.

“Interested persons can send the curriculum to [email protected], specifying in the REF object. ALB01.”

As you just read, the job entails tasting ingredients, including various types of cocoa and hazelnuts.

The job takes place in Alba, Italy, at Ferrero’s headquarters, so you must be willing to relocate. The place sounds like a total drag, though; it’s all white truffles and wine and more truffles and wine… The worst.

Of course we’re kidding. We’re just trying to distract you as we draft up our email and hit send before you do. Good luck, applicants!
