Giada De Laurentiis’ Pizza Dip Recipe Is Packed With Italian Flavor & Perfect for Game Day

What’s a game day without pizza, right? With the Super Bowl coming up on February 9, it’s time to start thinking about your game day menu. Although a pie from your favorite spot is always a good idea, this Pizza Dip recipe from Giada De Laurentiis may have you skipping actual pizza altogether. Loaded with Italian flavors and layers of cheeses, this dip will be the one your Super Bowl guests rave about after the game is over, and lucky for you, it’s so easy to make.

“‘Tis the season for game day snacks, and this Pizza Dip is so good we’ve maybe been guilty of just straight-up eating it for dinner,” the caption of a recent Giadzy post reads. “It’s all the cheesy goodness and bold flavors of pizza in one delicious dip, and you can customize it with even more of your fave toppings.”

Unlike traditional pizza that starts with sauce, the Pizza Dip recipe starts by blending a delicious mix of cheeses and dairy — cream cheese, ricotta, and sour cream, to be exact — in the food processor. Then, add in a bit of oregano, mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and salami to bring out the Italian vibe.

Spread that mixture into the bottom of a casserole dish and top it with chopped pepperoncini, more salami, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and mozzarella, and toss the entire thing into the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling.

Serve your Pizza Dip with fresh veggies for some contrast or drive the pizza theme home by serving it with your favorite crackers. Tortilla chips or toasted crostini work well with this dip, too.

It’s cheesy, it’s gooey, and it’s basically a pizza in a baking dish. Make De Laurentiis’ Pizza Dip for your upcoming Super Bowl party and everyone will leave happy — that is, unless their team doesn’t win! Grab the 15-minute recipe right here.
