Sure, sure, sure — we all know by now Coca-Cola Company’s plans to release a Coca-Cola cinnamon-flavored soda this fall (yawn, old news), but being more of a Sprite fan myself, it’s Coca-Cola Company’s new Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry soda that’s piqued my interest. A brand-new, limited edition Sprite that might just pair perfectly with your Thanksgiving meal? Count us in.
Let’s get the info about Coca-Cola Cinnamon out of the way first. For starters, we’ve seen this soda before; it previously launched in the U.K. in October 2018. Then, it was called Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cinnamon, and it was only available for a limited time.

Available this fall, the cinnamon-flavored Coke will likely be very similar to the UK version, which was described as “bursting full of warming flavors” and “perfect for the lead up to Christmas.” Though, the U.S. version isn’t zero-sugar, so there’s that.
People have already had some strong reactions to the news too.

Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry, on the other hand, is new to Coca-Cola Company’s flavor roster. Yes, Sprite Cranberry is nothing new; in 2017, Coca-Cola reported nearly-doubled sales since the flavor debuted in 2013. But it’s the word “spiced” that makes this soda intriguing.

“Sprite Cranberry has become a non-traditional favorite for the holidays and a must-have for festive gatherings,” said Bobby Oliver, Sprite brand director, at the time. “Cranberry is clearly a fruit and flavor that resonates with the season, but the fact that it’s an in-and-out holiday offering is a lot of what we think gets people excited.”
And we can only expect Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry to fly off the shelves this year, as well.
The limited-edition, cranberry-flavored soda is expected to land in grocery stores starting Sept. 30 and will continue to sell until Dec. 31 — if they haven’t sold out by then, that is.
