This Butternut Squash Cannelloni Dish From Costco Is Perfect for Those Nights You Just Don’t Want To Cook

Whether you’re all bundled up on the couch watching movies or just had one of the most stressful days ever, sometimes, the thought of having to make dinner can send a shiver down your spine. That’s why it’s a great idea to plan ahead — Costco has an oven-ready meal in its deli section right now that may be the ultimate autumn comfort meal. Packed with butternut squash and Italian sausage, and smothered in a gouda cream sauce, this dish is going to come in so clutch on those nights you can barely pull yourself into the kitchen.

This ready meal is cannelloni with butternut squash and sausage and is going for just $5.99 per pound. For those who have never tried cannelloni before, they’re basically long, cylindrical noodles that you can stuff with whatever your heart desires. Think of cannelloni as a different form of lasagna.

“The Costco deli just got a brand-new item,” Laura from the Costco Hot Finds Instagram account said in a recent post. “It’s a cannelloni with butternut squash and sausage, and this turned out to be such a good last-minute lunch for us.”

“It’s seven cannelloni, which are so soft and thin, almost like a crepe, with a gouda cream sauce, Italian sausage, squash, spinach, and topped with parmesan cheese,” she continued. “This was an excellent deal at $5.99 a pound.”

“It tastes like fall, yummy!!” one person commented on Laura’s post. Another added, “I liked it! Perfect fall flavors.” And someone else said, “We had it for dinner this evening and my family of five all liked it! Huge win.”

In her caption, Laura said she baked her cannelloni covered for about a half hour before taking the cover off to brown the top for about 15 minutes. That means you can throw this dish into the oven on any lazy dinner night and go back to binge-watching, relaxing, chit-chatting with friends, and all your other winding-down activities.

Stash Costco’s butternut squash and sausage cannelloni in your fridge or freezer for those nights when cooking dinner just isn’t an option and you’ll be so happy your past self gave your future self a plan B.
