Spaghetti and meatballs is a time-honored dinner for a reason. It’s delicious, packed with flavor, and super easy to make — especially if you follow Ina Garten’s recipe. To make it even better, the Barefoot Contessa recently revealed exactly what type of breadcrumbs to use, and they are extremely affordable.

In the Ask Ina section of her website, someone asked the chef what her favorite brand of “seasoned dried breadcrumbs” is and how she makes “fresh breadcrumbs.” Both very good questions!

In her answer, Garten shared, “I like brand ‘4c’ which is available in most grocery stores.” The 4C Panko Seasoned Breadcrumbs are made with Pecorino Romano Cheese, garlic powder, and other ingredients that will really make your recipe pop.

And the best part? These breadcrumbs are only $8.99 on Amazon!

These are Ina Garten’s preferred breadcrumbs to use in her meatball recipe. Keep some in the pantry for whenever you need a little extra flavor and crunch to your dinner.

In her Ask Ina answer, Garten also shared how to make fresh breadcrumbs for the recipe. “I start with a loaf of crusty white or sourdough bread, remove the crust, and chop the bread in a food processor until it’s the size of large breadcrumbs,” she shared, adding, “I hope that helps!!”

Gartens Meatballs & Spaghetti recipe calls for three different types of meat, fresh breadcrumbs and seasoned dry breadcrumbs, cheese, and more. The recipe involves mixing ingredients together and forming them into 2-inch meatballs, browning them in oil, then serve with cooked noodles and the spaghetti sauce.

Taylor Swift loves this recipe, once telling Ellethat she only uses ground beef for the meat and uses packaged breadcrumbs. Maybe she orders 4C, too!
