Good News, Millennials — Aldi Is Selling a Viennetta Ice Cream Dupe & It Comes in 2 Delicious Flavors

There are so many amazing tastes that remind us ‘90s babies of our childhood. Fruit by the Foot. Dunkaroos. Wonder Balls. And one of the most delicious? Viennetta ice cream! Now you can get a version of this sweet treat at Aldi in two different flavors.

Millennials will remember the popular Viennetta ice cream cake from our childhoods, which is a British dessert made with “wave after wave of soft ice cream flowing over layer upon layer of chocolate deliciousness.” Flavors like mint, strawberry, cappuccino, and praline were popular three decades ago, but the treat was discontinued after the turn of the millennium. But thanks to Aldi, you can relive your childhood with this fantastic dupe that will instantly make you nostalgic.

Instagram user @theamazingaldi shared a photo of the Sundae Shoppe Frozen Dessert Cake, which looks just like Viennetta. It comes with vanilla layers or caramel layers in between chocolate. It looks like a dessert version of lasagna, and we can practically taste it already.

“Vanilla layer cakes now back for a limited time! Did you pick one up?” @theamazingaldi captioned the post.

“This is a throwback to the viennetta from the 90s,” one person wrote. “Exactly what came to mind!” another agreed.

“Grabbed one yesterday!” someone else shared.

Aldi is known for their awesome product dupes, like their $10 Stanley tumbler dupes and their Chick-fil-A sauce dupes. Hopefully this Viennetta dupe will live up to our childhood memories — because if so, we are definitely stocking up on our next Aldi run!
