Easter egg decorating ideas

STENCILED EGGS

Small stickers can add stenciled uniqueness to your collection of Easter eggs. Choose letters or other distinguishable shapes or create your own shapes on self-adhesive labels (use scissors to cut shapes out of labels). Adhere stickers to dry eggs and soak eggs in food coloring or natural dyes until desired color is reached. Remove eggs from dyes and gently pat dry with paper towels. Remove the stickers. For multiple colors, use new stickers to decorate eggs and repeat the dying process. Alternatively, dye eggs and simply decorate with stickers as the final step.

MARBELIZED EGGS

Make your eggs a work of art with a marbled look. Dye your eggs using food coloring or natural agents. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the bowls of colors. Quickly dip your dyed eggs into a different color. The dye – not the oil – will adhere to the egg, creating the marbling. For multiple colors, let the egg dry and dip in a different dye. When you are done, rub the eggs with a paper towel to remove excess oil.
