Donning a costume for Halloween gives you the opportune evening to let your alter ego lead the way. Sipping a tequila cocktail can be part of the fun and even bolster your courage to really strut your masked and sexy — or scaly and scary — stuff. The new tequila bottles from 1800 Tequila even have their own costumes this year with the release of the second annual collection of limited-edition Essential Artists bottles. Not only do these bottles make for novel hostess gifts, they also double as intriguing décor.
1800 Tequila gets dressed up
The 1800 Tequila Essential Artists series is celebrating its second year of showcasing up-and-coming artists hailing from Hawaii to New York. Eleven captivating designs gathered from over 15,000 online submissions plus one special edition “celebrity artist” bottle designed by Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number One feature an eclectic array of talent on a most unexpected medium: bottles of 100 percent Agave Silver Tequila.
“We’re excited to offer another round of Essential Artists bottles, as we received an overwhelmingly positive response to the first campaign,” says Elwyn Gladstone, vice president of marketing for Proximo Spirits, a well-recognized distributor and marketer of fine spirits, who partnered with 1800 Tequila to bring this artistic endeavor to life. “Emerging artists can struggle for years before seeing their work recognized on a national scale, but the creative genius behind the submissions and the incredible demand from consumers has allowed us to expand this program and feature 11 more artists, on our way to showcasing 1,800 inspired submissions.”
Only a limited number of bottles have been produced, making for an attractive collector’s item, lively addition to any bar, and certainly a novel holiday gift. To find the special series of bottles, which retail for $24.99 each, visit www.1800Tequila.com. In hopes of encouraging other artists to make their dreams a reality, 1800 Tequila plans to re-launch the contest at the end of this year, inviting artists to submit their own bottle designs for a chance at inclusion in the next series. Stay tuned!
