Super Bowl pre-game activities to get the party started

Super Bowl means super fun. Psyche up your guests and get into the spirit of the game before kickoff with activities that energize the crowd.

Player pick

Everyone loves to root for their favorite players, so ensure each guest has one by writing the names of Super Bowl players, their stats and info on cards and dropping them into a bowl.
When guests arrive, have each pick a card so they’ll each have a player to cheer on. Give a door prize to the guest who picks the Super Bowl MVP or the player who scores the most points.

Karaoke

What could be more appropriate than having your guests give their own renditions of the Star Spangled Banner? If your guests are feeling really — ahem — vocal, try other
favorite football songs like We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions, Back in Black, Who Let the Dogs Out and Enter the Sandman by Metallica. You could even
organize a sing-off a la American Idol for the armchair quarterbacks!

Commercial score cards

Prepare for the inevitable, crazy Super Bowl commercials. Pass out score cards and have your guests rate each of the big-ticket commercials on a rating scale. Add them up and see which one your
group thinks came out on top.

Squares

You’ve probably seen them at the office or at home: A betting pool. It’s actually a great way to get all your guests into the game, even those who don’t really know a lot about it. Find out how to organize your own Super Bowl pool.

Super Bowl trivia

The first Super Bowl was held on January 15, 1967, at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles. The Green Bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in that first game, in a whopping 35 to 10 victory.
Today, millions of fans tune in for this annual sporting event. Little tidbits of information like this can make the big game even more interesting. Have even more football fun with one of our
