Taco Bell fans vow to stand by the chain

SheKnows readers have spoken — and they still love their Taco Bell food! Read on to see what readers are saying about the Taco Bell meat controversy.

Who cares if Taco Bell ground beef is only 35 percent real meat?

That’s the general consensus of SheKnows readers after we reported on the pending class-action lawsuit against the fast food giant.

“When I order from the .99 cent menu I’m not expecting the “finest ingredients”. I just want flavor and fill my belly! I really don’t care if it’s oatmeal mixed with beef. It gets the job done,” One passionate commenter, Tom H., wrote.

Other SheKnows readers weighed in on our Facebook page.

“I will still eat at Taco Bell. I love the taste, and it is edible and I have never got sick from it,” Vanessa Dalton wrote.

“Not that much of a shocker… but I’ll still eat them too,” Heather Lacey agreed.

Taco Bell: Really, really upset

Taco Bell will be happy to read that their loyal fan base isn’t swayed by the allegations. The company came out in force after the news broke yesterday, threatening to slap the Montgomery, Ala. Law firm with a lawsuit of their own.

“[Taco Bell is] proud of the quality of our beef and identify all the seasoning and spice ingredients on our website,” company reps said in a statement.

“At Taco Bell, we buy our beef from the same trusted brands you find in the supermarket. We start with 100 percent USDA-inspected beef. Then we simmer it in our proprietary blend of seasonings and spices to give our seasoned beef its signature Taco Bell taste and texture.”

Love it or hate it, it’s doubtful Taco Bell is going to be changing anything in the near future. You’re now free to “think outside the bun” again.
