Sherry cobbler

by

With summer coming to a close, fruity drinks will soon be replaced with warm beverages. Take the opportunity to serve one last cool classic to your friends.

Summer is quickly coming to an end, the kids are back in school, and the nights are getting cooler. Don’t waste the opportunity to throw one last gathering for your friends and make the most of your patio. The best cocktails to make while you are entertaining are those that can be made in large batches and served to many without constant preparation on your part. Drinks like margaritas, mojitos, and sangria are common cocktails conjured up in pitchers and served to the masses.

If you want something unique and unexpected, you may want to serve a forgotten classic as opposed to trying to craft something new. Sherry Cobbler was a favorite drink in the late 1800’s but you would be hard pressed to find many people who order it today. This recipe from Summit Sips just may push this libation back to the top of drink menus. Plus you’ll impress your friends with your knowledge of cocktail history. Take note of how many guests you are expecting and multiply the recipe as needed.
