With just a bag of chocolate chips and melted butter, you can create milky, smooth, decadent chocolate bites that taste just as good as the kind you buy. Homemade milk chocolate hearts recipe

Yields 10 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Decorative icing

Directions:

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, heat chocolate chips with butter for 30 seconds. Stir and heat an additional 30 – 45 seconds, or until chocolate is fully melted.
  2. Using a Wilton mini heart candy mold, scoop or pour chocolate into each heart cavity. Use a knife to level off the bottoms so they are smooth.
  3. Place mold in the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour, or until candy is hard. Gently knock candy out of molds. Using decorative icing, gel or sprinkles, decorate candy to your preference. For a fun effect, give them to your valentine in a heart-shaped box!
