When you hear the name “George Clooney,” what comes to mind? Get your mind out of the gutter now… how about “tequila?”
According to 213Nightlife.com, you’ll soon be able to purchase a little bit of Clooney… in tequila form. And really, if you can’t take in a long drink of Clooney himself, isn’t tequila the next best thing?
Casamigos tequila
George Clooney and Rande Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s husband and restaurateur, have paired up to launch a new brand of tequila. Although not many details are known at this point, it is said that the tequila, named Casamigos, is expected to have a reasonable price point. Gerber told 213Nightlife.com, “We know we have a product we love and we drink, and other people will enjoy. The product speaks for itself.”

While you’re waiting for Casamigos to hit the shelves, wet your whistle with one of these tequila cocktails, inspired by Clooney movie titles.
Good Night, and Good Luck iced tea cocktail recipe
After drinking this tequila-heavy version of the classic Long Island iced tea, you may need to head straight for bed.
Makes 1
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces white tequila
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1/2 ounce white rum
- 1/2 ounce gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- Splash of cola
Directions:
- Add first six ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until cold.
- Pour into a glass over ice and top with cola.

Makes 1
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces premium tequila
- 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau
- 1-1/2 ounces sweet and sour mix
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 lime wedge
- Salt
Directions:
- Run the lime wedge around the rim of a glass. Dip rim in salt.
- Add first five ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until cold.
- Pour into a glass with salted rim over ice.
